Reno, Nevada
About Reno
Reno, NV is a city in northwestern Nevada, right along the Nevada-California border. It sits about 22 miles north of Lake Tahoe, and is known as “The Biggest Little City in the World.”
Reno gets over 300 days of sun annually and sits about 4,500 feet above sea level. Elevations can be a bit higher depending on where you are in town. Reno has a very dry climate on the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Despite being a desert, Reno does have 4 seasons! Winters tend to be mild (although the mountains next door can be very snowy!), and summers tend to be hot, albeit much cooler than Las Vegas or the Central Valley in California.
